Quality and Safety are our primary goals
CAN-AM carefully evaluates Donor testing and screening for each semen specimen we distribute. We work closely with our donor sperm suppliers to help ensure that specimens are compliant with Health Canada requirements.
All Donor specimens distributed by CAN-AM meet or exceed Health Canada standards. Additional genetic and infectious disease testing may also be performed, using state-of-the-art techniques.

Choosing your Donor: Searching the Catalogue
You can access our Donor catalogues online or as Adobe Acrobat PDF documents.
Online catalogues allow you to choose a Donor based on certain characteristics (hair or eye colour, height, blood type, etc). You can also search by Donor number.
Catalogues may also be downloaded as a PDF document. This allows you to see and print the entire catalogue of Canadian-compliant Donors.
Please only access online Donor catalogues through our website. This prevents you from accidentally choosing a Donor who is not Canada-compliant.

Choosing your Donor: Reviewing Donor Information
To help you with your search, a Basic Donor Profile is available for free while searching the Donor Catalogue. Additional Donor Information may also be available, including an Enhanced Donor Profile, Photos and Audio files. The availability of these items for each Donor is shown on the catalogue as small icons.
Enhanced and Basic Donor profiles may be accessed from the catalogue. Additional Donor Information items may be accessed by visiting Fairfax Cryobank and Xytex’s websites.
Donor specimens are processed as unwashed (ICI) or washed/prewashed (IUI). Some doctors have a preference. Confirm with your physician whether you need to order ICI or IUI, as not all Donors are available in both preparations.
